The London Legacy Development Corporation Board and the Mayor of London has appointed Martha Grekos on the London Legacy Development Corporation Planning Decisions Committee.
The London Legacy Development Corporation is the organisation behind Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The London Development Corporation was formed in April 2012 to use the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to develop a dynamic new heart for east London, creating opportunities for local people and driving innovation and growth.
The Planning Decisions Committee comprises three London Legacy Development Corporation Board members, four independent members and five local Councillors recommended by the four boroughs directly affected by the proposals for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and surrounding areas. Martha Grekos will be one of the independent members.
The Planning Decisions Committee ensures that decisions on planning applications are made in an open, transparent and impartial manner. The Planning Decisions Committee will either make the decisions on the applications submitted to the London Legacy Development Corporation or delegate the decision to Officers of the London Legacy Development Corporation’s Planning Policy and Decisions Team.Full details of the London Legacy Development Corporation can be found here and details about the Planning Decision Committee can be found here.
